Hi, I'm Kick.
I'm an office worker in Japan, and I run this site as a side project. I love soccer, pets, cars, staying healthy, and car camping.
How I travel
My family of four goes car camping in our Toyota Noah, a family minivan. At night we fold the seats flat and sleep on mats.
Two things make our trips easier:
- A solar-powered light. It charges in the sun while we drive during the day, and we use it as our light inside the car at night.
- A portable power station. We use it to charge our phones, for the kids' games, and to run a fan on hot summer nights.
Why I started this site
Many travel guides show Japan's famous spots. I want to share the everyday side: how people here travel by car, where to stop, and how to follow the local manners so you feel at home.
How I write
On this site, I share what I find out about places and products in a simple, honest way. If I tried something myself, I'll say so. If I only researched it, I'll tell you that too.
This site contains affiliate links, and I may earn a commission if you buy through them. Read the full disclosure.
